Minor Injuries suffered in accident on Rt. 446, Eldred

A Portville, NY woman received minor injuries and was transported to Olean General Hospital, when she lost control of her Chrysler Sebring, and traveled over an embankment.

Trooper David Surra says the accident occurred as Kathleen M. Drake-26 of Portville, NY was traveling south on SR 446 approximately one mile north of the Eldred Borough line on 3-25 at 7:20 am. Drake lost control while negotiating a left hand turn, then traveled off the West-side of the roadway and over an embankment. The vehicle continued traveling south until it struck a fallen tree. 

Drake sustained minor injuries and was not wearing a seatbelt. Drake will be cited for Driving on Roadways Laned and Failing to Wear a Seatbelt.

Assisting at the scene were Eldred Township Fire Police, Eldred EMS, and Mckiernan's Towing.
