UPDATE: 15 VOTES ARE ALL THAT KEEPS LOCAL CARTOONIST IN THE LEAD It has been over 24 hours since supporters have put Lonny Frost in the number one spot. However, that could be changing soon as Peter Ramirez is only 15 votes shy of taking back 1st place. It is no secret that Mr. Ramirez is a successful illustrator and has years of experience and training under his belt compared to our local self taught artist who has never used the word "cartoonist" to describe his love for making people smile. In fact, "freelancer," is the word Lonny uses to describe himself as. When it comes to his work in photography and writing the word "freelancer" to Mr. Frost simply means...."doing it for free out of love or enjoyment." "However, I can say I have always dreamed about being a cartoonist, but I have never considered myself as a cartoonist because I have never earned that title," Lonny stated. "I am always honored when someone says they love one of my cartoons," Frost explained. "It is a good feeling to know something I created adds a smile to their day," Mr. Frost concluded. With that said, supporters are pushing Mr. Frost closer to his 400th vote and the staff here is asking for another 100 before the days ends at 11:59pm. With everyone's vote you can keep Lonny in the top spot and help him grab at least one first place win during this contest. Lonny again clearly states his sincere thanks to everyone who has helped placed him into each round with their votes. Lonny Frost is presently working on his present cartoon, as we write this update.
