A Ridgway man, who was stopped for speeding Saturday at 4:24 PM on Route 219 one mile south of Route 6 in Sergeant Township, was determined by State Police to be under the influence of marijuana.
Benjamin Jaques, 20, of Ridgway, PA, will be charged by Trooper Jeffrey J. Walker with DUI-Marijuana in District Court 48-3-04 pending NMS Lab results.
Michael Cappiello, 19, of Ridgway, PA, a passenger in the Jaques vehicle, was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana. As he was being placed under arrest, he resisted and began to fight. He was transported back to the PSP Station and processed. He will be cited for Resisting Arrest, Possession of Marijuana, and Disorderly Conduct by Trooper Matthew J. Petrof in District Court 48-3-04.
