Erosion and Sedimentation Control In Our Forests
Training Targets Foresters, Private Forest Landowners, Loggers & Logging Contractors

The McKean County Conservation District, Penn State Extension of McKean County and the North Central Forest Landowners Association are partnering to offer training and information geared toward preventing Erosion and Sedimentation in our Forests. 

The session will be held on Thursday, April 11 from 8:30 – 4:30 at the Veteran’s Memorial, 4743 Route 155 in Port Allegany

Topics to be covered include: regulatory requirements, proper BMP installation, the importance of protecting our watersheds and considerations during and after a timber harvest. The session includes a field activity to develop an erosion and sedimentation control plan. PA SFI Continuing Education Credits – 8 hours (2) years are available.
