Born June 23, 1928, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Horrace J. and Anna M. (Becker) Washburn.
On May 3, 1947 in Bradford she married Curtis Carlson who died February 2, 2012.
Mrs. Carlson was a 1946 graduate of St. Bernard High School and a graduate of the Warren Beauty School. She had worked as a beautician in Kane for several years, and later as a secretary/ clerk for Foster Township. She was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Evangelical Church.
She is survived by three sons Stephen (Beverly) D. Carlson, of Akron, NY, David (Judy) L. Carlson, of Kane and Richard L. Carlson, of Forestville, NY, ten grandchildren:, Kandie (Joel) Gay, Kristen (Don) Kohl, Amye (Doug) Burton, Eric (Becky) Carlson, Julie (Dale) Anderson, Katie (Ray) Dupree, Michael Carlson, Zachary Carlson, Brandon (Cheree) Caprio and Joseph Caprio, sixteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents, one son Donald Carlson, two sisters, Doris Keenan, Helen Gates and one brother John Washburn.
Friends will be invited to attend a graveside service at Kanesholm Cemetery at a later date to be announced. Burial will be in Kanesholm Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc.
