| Delores J. “Dolly” Silsby |
She was born on July 1, 1929 in Bradford, a daughter of the late Martin and Olive Childs Swanson.
On January 12, 1956 in Carrollton, NY she married Richard A. “Dick” Silsby who preceded her in death on May 30, 2004.
Mrs. Silsby attended Grace Lutheran Church, Bradford Foursquare Gospel Church and the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Derrick City. She loved to travel and spend time with her family; she also enjoyed going out to eat with friends and family and sitting in her gazebo at home. She will be remembered as a good neighbor to other people and animals.
She was employed by Zippo Manufacturing Co.; retiring in 1985 after 25 years of service.
She is survived by one son, Chester (Anne) Kraft, Bradford, two daughters, Esther (Lea) Wolfe, Abilene, TX, Cindy (James) Pais, Bradford, one sister, Gloria Conklin, Bradford, eight grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald and LaMurr Swanson.
At her request there will be no visitation. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
