Local Cartoonist Eliminated and Later Reinstated Just in Time!

It was not an April Fool's day joke when local cartoonist Lonny Frost, checked his email to see if he was moving into Round 8 of the Cartoonist Studio cartoon contest.

Ins...tead of finding a note of congratulations Mr. Frost instead opened a message announcing his elimination. That message was sent to him and 11 other contestants.

"I was very shocked and very confused, as I could not figure out why I would of been eliminated when I had such a huge support group," Mr. Frost stated.

"I admit, I was crushed and obviously upset," exclaimed Frost. "But receiving 1420 votes from a large group of awesome supporters in Round 7 , I just felt something was not right," explained Lonny.

So Mr. Frost sent an email to the Cartoonist Studio website shortly after 11pm to question their decision to eliminate him. Twenty minutes later Mr. Frost received this personal email message.

"LONNY,
I am so glad you emailed me. I just checked the judges comments and elimination sheets, and it seems that only one of the three judges had you picked for elimination. It takes at least two of three judges to eliminate any contestant. When the names were submitted to admin, yours was included. It should not have been included. I just had your cartoon re-instated for Monday’s run.
I am so sorry for the screw up. I should have caught it, and take full responsibility for the screw up.

Lonny's tears of defeat turned into tears of relief, as Round 8 has started and his next "Wild Tails," is already up and awaiting your votes!

"I thank God, that I listened to my instincts and sent an email questioning the elimination message I received earlier," Frost stated. "My supporters have fought very hard for me over the last seven weeks. They gave me high votes and five straight second place finishes. I owed my supporters and I owed myself, so I sent the email," expressed Lonny.

The Cartoonist Studio quickly corrected the error just before the new round began.

Many supporters think I have been eliminated so I am starting out with low numbers, but once supporters hear about the error, I am sure I will catch up fast with Peter Ramirez.

This should be an epic battle as Round 8 has started. We hope many more people will join, as supporters get the opportunity to fight back and place Mr. Frost up top once again.
