Juvenile Assault Victim In Critical Condition
A Duke Center man was remanded to the McKean County jail on Monday evening after he was arrested and arraigned on charges of critically injuring a juvenile female victim at a location on Oil Valley Road in Otto Township, McKean County.
Kevin Collins, 28, of Duke Center, PA, was arrested by Trooper Mary Gausman and arraigned before District Judge Richard W. Luther on Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, and Harassment charges at 9:14 PM on Monday night..
Trooper Gausman said the incident occurred at 12:15 AM on Monday. Collins is accused of assaulting the juvenile female victim by slapping her in the face, choking her, and slamming her body onto the floor, rendering her unconscious. The victim was taken by ambulance to Bradford Regional Medical Center and transferred to Buffalo Children's Hospital where she is in critical condition.
Collins was unable to post $50,000. straight cash bail and was remanded to the McKean County jail pending a preliminary hearing set tentatively for 9:30 am on April 11 at the McKean County Courthouse.
